Over The Coals

A documentary on Santa Maria-style BBQ

by Noah Rosenstein

Over The Coals is the story of Santa Maria barbecue, a little-known and under-appreciated form of cooking.  The film interviews pit masters, restaurant owners, and historians, and it also explores the culture of the cuisine.

The movie was shot in beautiful HD by director of photography Greg Quatannens, and colored by Emmy winner Jeff Roe.  Margaret Garrett from Mr. Airplaneman provides the sound track.

Written and directed by Noah Rosenstein, an Emmy-nominated film editor and noted barbecue expert.
